RATE OF PAY: $85,238 per year
DUTIES: Plan and formulate civil construction projects according to project requirements and engineering standards. Ensure overall project quality control including review of project designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications under supervision. Prepare analytical reports for presentation to upper management. Collaborate with field management to ensure resolution of issues between the project plan and site execution on an ongoing basis. Review all equipment or personnel changes and requisitions prepared and submitted by superintendents. Execute final authority over issue resolution related to project plan and implementation under the direction of senior EJ Smith leadership. Review scheduling and costing reports which include the accuracy of ESUB labor, equipment reports, and monthly SAFE cost reports. Develop and manage against project budget and ensure project meets projected and required margins. Update project schedule on monthly basis. Review ongoing financial projections of project performance throughout project life. Submit accurate and timely cost and income projections for project and submit accurate and timely payment requisitions. Act on changes in project margins and budget variances to ensure project profitability. Ensure timely and appropriate communications of time extensions and delays in accordance with project requirements. Document, prepare, and initiate claims. Track all RFI, submittals, and change orders for ongoing projects. Demonstrate thorough understanding of project schedule, key project milestones, and reasons for delays. Identify competent subcontractors and suppliers for projects by comparing and evaluating them based on price, scope, schedule, terms, and qualifications. Ensure all site operations adhere to Company and site safety policies and protocols. Prepare takeoff using Bluebeam and PlanSwift. Review and submit RFIs, submittals, inspection logs, and daily reports using Procore. Prepare, review, and analyze project schedules and critical paths using Primavera P6 and Synchro. Review and prepare BIM models using Autodesk Navisworks
that determine trade conflicts within contract documents. Use AutoCAD, ESUB, HCSS, and iSQFT. Review and approve the pay applications for the different trades.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and three (3) months of experience in the job offered or three (3) months of experience in a related occupation ensuring overall project quality control including review of project designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications; preparing analytical reports for presentation to upper management; reviewing scheduling and costing reports which include the accuracy of ESUB labor, equipment reports, and monthly SAFE cost reports; tracking all RFI, submittals, and change orders for ongoing projects; understanding of project schedule, key project milestones, and reasons for delays; identifying competent subcontractors and suppliers for projects by comparing and evaluating them based on price, scope, schedule, terms, and qualifications; adhering to company and site safety policies and protocols; preparing takeoff using Bluebeam and PlanSwift; reviewing and submitting RFIs, submittals, inspection logs, and daily reports using Procore; preparing, reviewing, and analyzing project schedules and critical paths using Primavera P6 and Synchro; using AutoCAD, ESUB, HCSS, and iSQFT; and reviewing and approving the pay applications for the different trades.
